Today's photo was one I took back on Monday 'when' we had some snow. Now it is plain old COLD an WET. This photo was taken with the 50 mm lens, no flash, and f/1.8, aperture setting.
My plans for today are very low-key and will include putting my feet up, knitting, watching the marathon of Christmas movies, and drinking coffee (of which I haven't had my first cup yet). I have a box of tissues by my side to catch the drippy nose, a nice warm snuggly bathrobe on, and cozy slippers on my feet. This will probably be my attire for much of the day. Joy came last night and it was so good to see her. It was enjoyable listening to her and John talk about our body. She was sharing with us her anatomy class she has been taking. Psalms 139 so quickly came to my mind. Listening to her share more about how much she has learned about our body, tissues, connectors, blood, etc, etc, just how it all functions was awesome. She and John can get so into the detail of it all that it seems to float right over my head which means a time for me to retire to bed. Of which I did.
Yesterday it s great to hear from all our family. Nate called us from the "undisclosed location" and it was good to see him via Skype. He is doing well and is busy at his job. Continue to pray for him plez. He has lots on his plate and I am sure it is difficult being away from family during the holiday season. I did tell him that I purchased a turkey that I will prepare when he comes home. We'll have a combination Thanksgiving/Chritmas dinner for him. Aaron and Janey had a good day too. Janey told me that dear Aaron has been under the weather so he did retreat to his room after dinner. Janey and her sisters and the kids had a good time. Janey told me that Joshua asked her what that hard stuff was under the pie--it was the pie crust. She asked for my recipe (which was my mother's excellent pie crust).
That's it for now. I need my coffee.
