I had to pick this photo to share. This photo puts a smile on my face whenever I look at it. It reminds me so much of my own kids. Joy would have hugged Nate that way and Nate would respond just like Issac--grin and bear it face or ELSE. He was getting the hug no matter what!! In life don't we just at times need that kind of hug. (Taken with the D40, 35 mm lens, f2.5, aperture mode)

Last night I had the honor of taking office photos for Jonathan Backer DDS. I was so honored to take their photos, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I brought in all my gear (white umbrella, umbrella stand, two cameras, and two tripods). I really brought in more than what I needed but I wanted to be prepared. (On my next shoot, I'll size down to a tripod and two cameras). The gals from Jonathan's office were so much fun. They looked absolutely beautiful in holiday dress and taking their photos was an easy task.
What a bunch of fun people!! Soorin went over the top in preparing Korean dishes, and the desserts were---fabulous!!!

When I got home I started looking through the photos and analyzing them. I am learning more about settings on my camera and how they really do help me take photos. I am being stretched beyond measure in learning all this. My new best friend is my tripod. Oh, how I love my tripod. It is very helpful!!!

Well, time to get ready for church. After church we are going to go buy a battery for Joy's car. We are hoping to get this all fixed up for her soon. This afternoon I am going to be taking more photos at Fire By Night over at Willamette Christian Center. I really have fun doing this. I get to go in early and sit in the balcony and get all set up. Yes, another learning experience.
