This little girl with these bright eyes often appears where I work. Those big dark eyes pierce at me with non-verbal clues of "I like you", "Don't talk to me", "I think I like you", or just "hi". She is this shy little four year old who comes to visit her great grandmother. I had to capture her eyes with the help of her doll. Isn't it something that the doll too has big eyes!! I have been wanting to take her picture for many months, and on this day I had my D90 and took the photo with the 18mm lens on P mode. Fun!
The holiday season is truly here. John and I went to another Christmas party last night. I brought homemade Biscotti. I was rather proud of my creations only to be out-shined by a two pound box of Sees Candies. There was no place to put my plate but next to the Sees. Well, I did try to move other stuff around but it just didn't fit.
Yes we had awesome food but the real center of this party was the relationships we have developed over the year of which we are so thankful for. After eating we spent a few minutes singing and sharing our lives over the past year. It was reflected how faith the Lord has been to all of us. We (the group in a whole) had gone through much: critical illnesses, death, lack of employment, various family issues, financial and more. BUT we had each other other to support us and pray for us. What a wonderful circle of friendships we have. Oh, we did share the positive things too that we have experienced this year too!! Yeah positives!!!!
Yesterday was a pretty busy day overall. John outdid himself in creating a box and sending it to Nate. John was able to get a DVD of the University of Oregon Duck's 2010 season PLUS a copy of the Sports Illustrated magazine. Those two items in themselves will probably rank in Nate's best list over the ginger cookies I included. Way to go John.
Time to finish off my my cold coffee and snag another Biscotti.
