What a great day I had today. Wonderful church service, wonderful friends, yuky weather, wonderful food. Need I go on? After church John and I had lunch with two special people in our lives. This wonderful couple speaks volumes into our lives. There were those serious moments but the giggle moments out-topped it all. The dear waitress really didn't know what to do with some our sick humor!! This couple have walked graciously through some tough stuff and to let them share it with us--we were honored.

When we got home we both took our Sunday afternoon naps, and then I started in to do some baking. I love the smell of homemade banana bread lingering throughout the house. Tomorrow we are driving to Salem to spend some time with the other Backer clan and I will be brining the banana bread with me (unless John gets into it before noon)!! We heard from Nate and he is 'hoping' to Skype us tomorrow night when all the family is together in Salem. That should be real fun!!

These two photos I am sharing today are photos of the trees across the street. The first photo was taken back in October. The second photo I took this afternoon. (I used the D90, Priority, and 15-80mm lens). Isn't it something how many leaves have dropped from that tree? And 'those' leaves did not fall in my yard (he, he, he)--but we did have our share of leaves too!
