I love this photo. Thank you dear neighbor for letting me come over and take it. I used the D40, a 35 mm lens at f/1.8. It was fun experimenting with all this lens can do. It will now be useful to have two Nikon cameras each able to take photos doing something a bit different. Or, will this be even more crazier for me!!
I am looking forward to actually putting a tree up in our home this year. I think I just might start getting in the Christmas mood. Taking this photo last night actually helped jump start it. This weekend John and I will put up the tree and have our usual battle: fake tree (which I like because it is easy) or the real tree (which he likes--the smell). One or the other will appear in our home which will give me more photo opportunities (yea).
Last night on the way home I stopped and had a 'much needed' eggnog latte with a dear friend. I am thankful how this sweet sister speaks into my life. I glean wisdom from her and just love her to bits. (She also has a darling family which John and I both adore). She is a true gift that the Lord has brought into my (our) life. I cherish the insight and spiritual wisdom she has.
I am looking forward to another blessed yet crazy day. Work will be very busy (and creative) for me. There is always something going on at work and a multi-task frenzy--but I love my job!! I am blessed to have worked there for 11 years nows. The holiday season is always a 'more' busy place at Olive Plaza.
This evening John and I get to get all dolled up and are going to dinner at the Oregon Electric Station with special friends. I am so looking forward to this. Of course my camera will be close by and I'll capture a few special moments.
Well, it is probably time for me to finish off this yummy coffee, turn off Pandora music, and get my body moving towards getting ready for work.
Blessings
