What a wonderful Christmas I had. Joy was here and she made me the most beautiful socks, and she made yummy Pecan Sticky Buns for her dad. We should probably contact his cardiologist after digesting one of these. They are made with six sticks of 'real' butter and many, many eggs--whole eggs!! And that only made one-half of the bunch. Yes they are delicious. Nate called us around 11:00 am and we talked about 30 minutes. He is busy at his work and is anxious to get back home and is doing well. He has enjoyed receiving boxes from family and friends while deployed. Timing was perfect yesterday: he received two in one day!! Yes they were loaded with magazines and Duck stuff. During the afternoon I was able to talk Joy into playing Wii Dance with me. I really enjoyed that and I actually beat her in one dance. I was so proud of myself. We finished the Wii adventure by playing bowling. Joy and John played and then I played John--we tied!!! We were all outside our comfort zones in playing Wii. This evening I chatted on FB with my three nieces. That was another highlight of my day. One of them is sending me a copy of an old 8 mm film of my family. I can hardly wait to see it. She is having it converted from film to DVD. Thank you Robyn.
ok. about these photos. All were taken with the D90, manual and I upped the shutter speed. I am stretching myself and playing more with shutter speed.
