Happy New Years!!! John and I had a wonderful evening saying good-bye to 2010 and welcoming in 2011. The evening started out with dinner at BJ's. John ordered chicken fried steak of which we shared. I had to take a photo of this chicken fried steak because I have never in my 59 years of life ever seen one (rather two steaks) this size. They filled the plate. We were warned of the size but John took on the challenge of ordering it. This dinner was enough for us to share PLUS we had enough to 'doggy bag'. Yummy. The best part of this dinner was the company we were with. These people are special friends in our lives. Over this past year they shared with us health issues and personal challenges in our lives and covered us with their prayers--of which we are so thankful.

After dinner we went over to the Bourlands to share desserts, snacks, puzzles, TV and card games. It was a very fun evening.

This morning we slept it till 8:30 am. I know the dogs were wondering what happened to us!! I made a pot of coffee, a light breakfast, and watched the Rose Parade. I like these relaxing mornings!!
Time to take Suzi for a walk and get moving.
